Hotels
Prague has a large capacity in all types of hotels. Delegates can choose different styles from luxury five-star hotels to three-star hotels. Major congress hotels are located within walking distance to Prague Congress Centre, others are easily accessible by underground.
Transport
There is a modern and safe public transport system in Prague that includes trams, buses and underground. Prague underground is quite a new one and very efficient. At rush hours there is a train every 2 minutes, off rush at least every 10 minutes.
Fares on public transport are either CZK 14 or CZK 20 (€0.50 or €0.70).
One-day and one-week tickets are also available.
Name Badge
Participants and accompanying persons will receive a name badge. Everyone is requested to wear this badge for all Congress activities. The badge is the pass for the Congress Centre and the Welcome Reception. Cost for replacing a lost or mislaid badge: EUR 15
Airport
Prague-Ruzyne International Airport is about 18 kilometres from city centre. 28 Airlines provide 150 – 200 international arrivals daily.
How to get from Airport to Prague Congress Centre?
You can travel by public transport. Go by bus No. 119 to underground station “Dejvicka” and carry on to the station “Museum”. Then change to line C and go to the station “Vysehrad”. The PCC is just next to this station. You will need to buy ticket for CZK 20 for this journey.
You can also take a taxi. Taxi ride from the airport to Prague Congress centre will take approximately 30 – 45 minutes and cost about EUR 25.

Czech Airlines is the Official Carrier of the 3rd World Congress of International Federation of Head & Neck Oncologic Societies IFHNOS 2006. Czech Airlines offers a comprehensive global route network linking many major cities around the world with Prague. Feel free to ask for the discount of 15% from applicable Economy Class fares and 25% from Business Class fares in Czech Airlines offices worldwide.
Discounts are valid for journeys in the period of one week before the event – one week after the event, for registered congress delegates and one accompanying person. The discount is also applicable for CSA code share flights OK 3000 – 5999, which are operated by our partners. The miles reached on tickets with discounts are also taken into account for OK Plus program.
Official letter of invitation or a copy of registration fee paid will be required only for the delegate and not for the accompanying person. This offer is valid for tickets booked and issued through Czech Airlines sales offices only.

Passport and visa requirements
Visitors from non-EU Countries must posses a passport valid for at least the next 3 months.
Citizens of many countries do not need a visa to enter Czech Republic (for instance Canada, USA, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Israel, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Hong Kong and others). For more information please see: www.mzv.cz. Participants requiring a visa should apply immediately to a consular office or a diplomatic mission of the Czech Republic in their country in order to avoid a delayed arrival to the Congress. Please note that the visa application procedure can take up to two months. It is not possible to obtain visa at the Prague Airport.
The Organizing Secretariat assists the delegates by processing the official invitations on request.

Language
The official language of the congress is English.
Insurance
The organising committee assumes no responsibility for injuries or losses occurring to persons or personal belongings during the Congress. Participants are advised to take out proper travel and health insurance.
Currency and banking
The currency unit in the Czech Republic is the Czech crown (“koruna”, CZK). 1 USD = around 27 CZK, and €1 = approx. CZK 31. International credit cards are accepted for payment in most hotels, restaurants and shops. Exchange offices and ATM machines are widely available throughout the town and at Prague International Airport.
Electricity
The Czech Republic uses a 220 V, 50 Hz system. Sockets conform to the European standard and plugs are three-pronged earthed.
Time
Prague is one hour ahead of Greenwich Mean Time.
