ACCOMMODATION
To order accommodation, please complete the on-line Accommodation & Tours Form.
Organizing Secretariat has reserved accommodation at the different category hotels ranging from 3 to 5 star grading. All hotels are within reasonable distance from the Prague Congress Centre.
To make a hotel reservation, please fill in the relevant section in the Accommodation & Tours Form.
The hotel preference as well as the second choice should be indicated. The reservation will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please note that the hotel booking is not possible without previous registration.
Organizing Secretariat reserves the right to book a room in a similar hotel in case the preferred hotel is fully booked.
Please note that the organizers would be happy to arrange accommodation and assistance for wheel-chair users. For more information, please contact the Organizing Secretariat.
All the rates quoted are per room and per night including breakfast and VAT of 5%. Should the VAT change by the beginning of the Congress, the Organizing Secretariat will automatically change the price of your hotel reservation and will inform you in writing about a new rate. Extras have to be paid directly at the hotel reception before departure.
CONFIRMATION OF THE HOTEL RESERVATION AND DEPOSIT PAYMENT (INDIVIDUALS)
A credit card number with authorization to charge 1st night deposit or bank drawn in EUR equivalent to 1st night deposit is required to guarantee your reservation. All major cards are acceptable. Your room account must be paid in full to the hotel at check-in or check-out. Your hotel may require credit card as a guarantee at check-in.
Rooms will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis and you will receive written confirmation of your reservation from GUARANT International (after a one night’s deposit is received).
Any reservation made after March 16, 2006 will be subject to availability.
CANCELLATIONS, CHANGES AND REFUNDS
The Organizing Secretariat must be notified in writing of any change or cancellation of a hotel reservation. Please do not contact the hotel directly in case of any reservation changes or cancellation. The appropriate refunds will be made after the Congress.
CANCELLATION CONDITIONS (INDIVIDUALS)
- * Cancellation before and on March 16, 2006 > full refund less 20 EUR handling fee
- * Cancellation after March 16, 2006 > 1 night cancellation fee
- * On the day of arrival > 1 night cancellation fee
Change of the date of arrival is possible until 12 a.m. before the day of arrival. In case the request of a change is received after 12 a.m., 1 night cancellation fee will be charged.
In case of no show, one night cancellation fee will be charged. In such a case the room is kept for the guest until 12,00 o’clock of the day following after the date of expected arrival. Afterwards the room will be offered as freely available.

Special tours and excursions have been arranged exclusively for the delegates and accompanying persons. All tours will leave from and return to the Prague Congress Centre. A minimum number of participants is 15 (10 for post congress tour to South Bohemia). Organizing Secretariat reserves the right to cancel the tour for which a minimum number of participants have not registered. In this case another tour will be offered or a refund will be paid at the Registration Desk.

1. PRAGUE CITY TOUR

This tour includes a visit to the most attractive and historic parts of Prague. Participants will see selected monuments of the Prague Castle, Loretto and the Strahov Monastery with a nice view over the city. The most important monuments of the Lesser Town will include the Church of St. Nicholas and St. Thomas Church. Visitors will further see the Charles Bridge with a nice view over the city from the top of the Lesser Town Bridge Tower comme- morating the reign of Charles IV (1346-1378). Participants will also visit selected parts of Old Town with the Old Town Square, the Old Horologe and the gothic Church of Our Lady.

The half-day sightseeing tour to Prague Castle, which is the seat of the Czech President, includes the Royal Garden with folly Belveder and Game Hall, the Royal Palace, the seat of the kings of Bohemia including Vladislav Hall, St Vitus Cathedral from 14th century, St George´s Basilica and Golden Lane whose famous inhabitants included the writer Franz Kafka. You will have opportunity to admire a variety of architectonic styles showing the progress of European architecture throughout the centuries as well as enjoy the panorama of Golden Prague.

3. PRAGUE OLD TOWN AND JEWISH GHETTO

A unique walk through Prague’s famous Jewish history. During this trip you will see the only Central European Jewish town- -quarter that survived the holocaust. You will stroll through the Old Jewish Cemetery, visit Pinkas and Klaus Synagogue, the Celebration Hall and Jewish Museum as well as see F. Kafka´s natal home.

4. PRAGUE BY BOAT

This tour offers the opportunity to explore enchanted Prague during the sightseeing drive and from the deck of a boat. You will discover some of the city’s major monuments and sights, such as the National Museum, National Theatre, and the world-known panorama of Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, Dancing House, Palace Mánes, picturesque houses on island Kampa, Palace Žofín or unique complex of Art-Nouveau style buildings, while relaxing over refreshment to listening to the sounds of the river. At the end of the cruise, your guide will take you along Pařížská Street, through the former Jewish Quarter, to the Old Town where the tour ends.

5. KARLŠTEJN CASTLE

The half-day trip to the 14th century Karlštejn Castle takes you on a tour to a historic site, where the crown jewels and personal relics of Charles IV, the Holy Roman Emperor, are Stored. The castle surrounded by a beautiful romantic countryside belongs among the most visited castles in the Czech Republic.
